Matillion Credits are used to pay for the consumption of Matillion Products. A Credit is the smallest unit of charge, consumed when a customer uses a Matillion resource.

You can monitor your Matillion credit usage at any time. Should you need to purchase additional credits, contact us and we will guide you through the process.
Credits are consumed by:
- Task Hours. Tasks are created whenever an operation is performed by Matillion. As a pipeline is executed, the main "Run" task is broken down into more granular tasks as the execution continues. Task hours are the combined execution time for each task across Matillion. Task hours are only charged when running a pipeline. Operations such as validation or sampling are not billed.
- Developer users - any additional Developer Users outside of your included Developer Users.
An Edition (Developer, Teams or Scale) is tied to a subscription and applies to all products used within that subscription. A Data Productivity Cloud account can have only one active subscription at a given time, which means it can use only one Edition. If you need multiple editions, you can create additional Data Productivity Cloud accounts and purchase separate subscriptions with the desired edition.
You can contract directly with Matillion or pay through your AWS, Azure or Snowflake account.
